I do apologise for the lack of diary entries over the last few days. Man servant, who normally takes my dictation, has been away for a few days with lady servant.
They are both back home now and things are returning to normal.
Unlike Paris where following the attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo yesterday things will never be the same again and the city will have to adjust to a new form of normality. Heartfelt sympathies go out to the victims and their families. They were just doing their jobs and exercising their right to express themselves freely. Vive la liberte!
It is not physically possible for all of us spread around the world to flock to Paris in sympathy. We can express our feelings through social media such as Facebook and Twitter or there might be another way…….
How about showing solidarity for the values those journalists upheld by making a special and concerted effort to buy a copy of Charlie Hebdo wherever we can and post pictures of the paper on Facebook and other social media describing where it was bought?
